My Diecast Car Collection

I’ve been obsessed with cars since childhood - not just their sleek designs, but what makes them tick: the intricate engines, the precision suspension, the clever gearboxes. While I don’t enjoy driving, I love understanding how cars work—and since owning real supercars isn’t practical, I turned to diecast models to appreciate automotive brilliance up close. My collection focuses on 1/24 and 1/64 scales, with detailed pieces from Bburago, TimeMicro, Mini GT, and others. The more mechanical detail, the better - I’m that weirdo who spends minutes admiring a tiny engine bay or a perfectly replicated model.

This page is where I showcase my favorites, from raw mechanical beasts to elegant classics. If you’re into diecast too—or just love geeking out over automotive engineering—let’s nerd out over these miniature masterpieces!

Mini GT Nissan Silvia S15

This glossy white and matte pink Silvia S15 from Mini GT ($17 via AliExpress) is a stunner - the aggressive LBWK styling pops with black accents and crisp branding. The paint quality impresses (no bleed between colors), and the 43 gram weight gives it a premium feel. Details shine: molded hood vents, "Nissan" windshield text, and Rotiform/Blackfish logos on the spoiler. The rubber tires are removable (pink wheel swap, anyone?), and decos like the cursive "Auto Finesse" script add elegance.

Flaws? The headlights lack sharpness vs. the tail lights, mirrors miss foil detailing, and the trunk-mounted spoiler placement (true to the real car) feels awkward to me. But for under $20, this is a must-buy. Intricate deco, pristine paint, and that pink/white combo is pure fire. 9/10.
